"Introduction to Mental Training"
Graham Stilwell

Most tennis players are clear that their mental approach to tennis plays an important role in the quality and effectiveness of their tennis game. However, when it comes to what they are actively doing to develop and improve this aspect of their game they often overlook, ignore or just don’t quite know how to work on their mental discipline.

As someone who has played tennis at every level, including twelve years on the pro tour, I have not only dealt with almost all of the difficulties one can encounter while competing myself, but have studied this field extensively, so that I can successfully coach others in this area.

As an introduction to mental discipline training I suggest starting to notice where, during competition, you are keeping your focus on things you can control and when things that are not within your control distract you.
Over the next few months I will identify some of the typical mental focus problems that occur for players as they compete.

I offer coaching in the development of the mental component of the game either in group sessions or one-on-one. You can contact me through 4 Star Tennis Academy or directly at (571) 432- 7698.
