Mehdi was born in Morocco, where he began playing tennis as a 6 year old. He competed in tournaments both regionally and nationally in his native country. Later, he also competed in tournaments in France, Switzerland and Spain.

Mehdi came to the United States when he was 12 years old. He continued to pursue his tennis career and competed successfully in junior tournaments in the Mid Atlantic section of the USTA.

Mehdi’s teaching career started while he was attending college at George Mason University, where he was a member of the men’s tennis team. During his summer vacations he started teaching at Skyline Sport and Health Club’s junior tennis camp and at Arlington Y’s junior camp he then continued during the school year, teaching on weekends.

Mehdi joined 4 Star Tennis Academy’s staff in the summer of 2005, and has been working with both adults and juniors.
