Max Hilkey – Instructor

Max was born On March 22, 1980 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As a junior tennis player he competed in many sectional and national tournaments. He was a two-time Champion of the USTA Southern Section in both singles and doubles. At the National level he had the distinction of winning the Easter Bowl and Reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious Orange Bowl, an international junior event, held in Miami.

Following Max’s successful career as a junior player he received a full tennis scholarship to the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and represented them at the collegiate level.

Max is a coach with an extensive background as a player; he therefore understands what it takes for a player to maximize their potential.
Max is a member of the USPTA and in his coaching career has taught in many countries from Hawaii to the Czech Republic.
